4:30 AM: Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco
Early departure in tourist transport through scenic Andean valleys toward the village of Pacchanta, the starting point of the adventure. -
7:30 AM: Breakfast in Pacchanta
Enjoy a hot breakfast prepared by a local family, with views of the towering Ausangate Mountain. - 8:30 AM: Start of the trek (Approx. 3.5 to 4 hours total hiking time)
Begin your hike surrounded by llamas, alpacas, and snow-capped mountains. As you ascend, you’ll visit seven beautiful lagoons fed by glacial meltwaters. The main lagoons include:
- Pucacocha
- Alqacocha
- Azulcocha
- Otorongo
- Orco Otorongo
- Qomercocha
- Patacocha
Each lagoon displays distinct colors ranging from emerald green to turquoise blue, creating a surreal contrast with the white peaks of Ausangate.

12:30 PM: Return to Pacchanta & Optional Visit to Hot Springs
After completing the circuit, return to the village of Pacchanta where you’ll have the chance to relax in natural hot springs (optional, entrance not included). -
1:00 PM: Lunch in Pacchanta
Delicious Andean lunch prepared by locals. -
2:30 PM: Return to Cusco
Enjoy views of remote Andean landscapes during the drive back. -
6:00 PM: Arrival in Cusco
