City Tour Cusco

The tour begins with hotel pick-up in Cusco's historic center. After a brief introduction from your professional guide, you’ll head to the Plaza de Armas to learn about Cusco’s colonial legacy and its Inca roots. You’ll then enter the Cathedral of Cusco, one of the most impressive examples of Spanish colonial architecture, housing a collection of religious paintings from the Cusco School.

Next, you’ll walk to Qorikancha, the Inca Temple of the Sun, which was once covered in gold. Your guide will explain its spiritual significance and the way the Spanish built the Santo Domingo convent on its foundations.

A short drive takes you to the outskirts of the city, where you’ll explore four remarkable Inca sites. At Sacsayhuamán, you’ll marvel at the precision of the enormous stone blocks fitted together without mortar. Then, at Qenqo, you’ll see ceremonial altars and underground passages used for ancient rituals.

Continue to Puka Pukara, a strategic military site with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Finally, visit Tambomachay, where you’ll learn about Inca water worship and see aqueducts and fountains still in operation.

After exploring all sites, the tour ends with a comfortable return to your hotel in Cusco.
